If you didn’t know the ending of Titanic beforehand, it would be the biggest plot twist to a romance ever
This reminds me of when I went to see Lincoln. I had no idea that he was assassinated in a theatre before that film (or that he was assassinated at all). I’d been very bored through most of the film but blimey that was a cracking plot twist for me.
I was reading The Order of the Phoenix earlier for the millionth time, and for the first time I noticed correlations between the wizarding world and today’s media.
I thought to myself, if I was a student at Hogwarts, would I believe that Dumbledore and Harry were right and that Voldemort was back, or would I believe the Daily Prophet and the Ministry of Magic.
It was with shame that I realised that ultimately, despite the facts placed in front of me, I would most likely believe the authority figures of the ministry and the newspaper.
Isn’t it fucked up that I have been brought up to believe that someone who can print something out in order to sell it on and make money would have my best interests at heart?
it’s just so funny how you can just click with some people but not others, like you can meet a new friend who completely gets you in like 2 weeks and yet have a parent or relative who still doesn’t know your simplest likes and dislikes after 20 years. its weird
